Histogram or Histograph
A diagram consisting of rectangles whose area is proportional to the frequency of a variable and whose width is equal to the class interval.
A histogram is an accurate representation of the distribution of numerical data. It is an estimate of the probability distribution of a continuous variable (quantitative variable) and was first introduced by Karl Pearson.
Bar Diagram or Bar Graph
Bar Diagram or Bar Graph is a visual tool that uses bars to compare data among categories. A
bar graph may run horizontally or vertically. The important thing to know is that the longer the
bar, the greater its value. Bar graphs consist of two axes. there are 3 types of bar diagrams.
1. Vertical Bar Diagram
2. Horizontal Bar Diagram
3. Stacked Bar Diagram
